I am so proud to announce that Norma Caylor Petterson has found Jim Baumgartner, President of the BPHS Class of 1956.  Jim just retired from the Las Vegas Airport and is living in Nevada.

Sadly, Jim's wife Fay is ill.  Jim is asking for all our prayers on behalf of his lovely wife.  Jim is planning on our 50th reunion and would love to hear from all of you.  He does not have a computer email, but here is his phone number.  Please, let's collect our prayers for Fay.

Well, the vote is in for preferred reunion dress.  Thanks for all those votes, not a bad turn out of 30 mates.

Casual Category:  17/30 votes = 57%

Formal Category:  4/30 = 13%

Luau Category:  3/30 = 10%

Whatever Category:  6/30 = 20%

Because the "Whatever Category", by way of definition, goes to the majority, these votes are added to the Casual Category

The "Whatever" category added to the "Casual" category overwhelmingly hits 77%.

Informal dress Category takes the majority votes.

However, some made statements like, "We could be informal and Polynesian!"

Thanks all for the responses.

I will not be attending any of the October activities.  Just a short update.  Two months ago I was diagnosed with cancer of the prostate.  They caught it through a "PSA" test, which men routinely have as part of their annual physical blood work.  Mine had increased from 2.5 to 3.2.  Thank god for my internist who recommended that I see a urologist.  A biopsy of ten tissue samples showed 3 to be cancerous.  Two weeks later I had the prostate removed surgically at the Huntington Hospital in Pasadena.  My cancer was a grade 3 (1-5).  The good news was that the cancer was contained within the prostate sack and had not gotten into my lymph nodes.  After staying home for 3 weeks I am back at the office full time.  At this point no additional treatment is required.

Word to the wise...men after 60 see a urologist annually.  It could save your life.
